We hope that you are all well during these uncertain times.
What you can remain certain about is that Drought Angels will continue to operate and help our Aussie farmers still being affected by drought and natural disasters.
The mode in which Drought Angels provides assistance will not change, farmers will still submit applications via our website, they will still receive calls from our Farmer Support Team and they will still receive assistance from Drought Angels.
There are going to be some measures put in place to ensure that operations are not negatively affected by the Corona Virus (COVID-19), after all, it is essential that the services provided to farmers continue without disruption.
In order to ensure the health of all involved, the following strategy has been implemented today and until further notice:-
The Charity Shop “Hidden Treasures”, located at 29 Malduf Street, Chinchilla is closed.
The warehouse also located at 29 Malduf Street, Chinchilla is closed.
Members of the public will not be permitted on Drought Angels shop/warehouse site.
No material donations will be accepted at this time.
The public “volunteer program” has been temporarily suspended.
All involvement of Drought Angels staff or volunteers at events has been halted and events (organised by Drought Angels) postponed.
Drought Angels have been closely monitoring advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Australian Department of Health in respect to appropriate responses to the Corona Virus (COVID-19). While they’re yet to ask all Australians to self-isolate, Drought Angels have set up flexible working arrangements to ensure the team are able to prioritise their health and work, as an extra precaution.
So, while the way we support farmers will change a little behind the scenes, the level and quality of support will remain unchanged and that is Drought Angels commitment to you.
With your support, Drought Angels will get through this with minimal disruption to the services provided to farmers. We urge you to continue to provide your love and support to Aussie farmers as we all navigate these ever-changing times together.
